Executive Director
Sue Johnson has her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a Graphic Design emphasis from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and her Masters of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN. She is an ordained ELCA Lutheran Pastor. Sue appreciates the opportunity to give back to her community and looks forward to partnering and serving alongside her neighbors, for her neighbors, in sustainable ways. She invites you to join her in our mission to "Reduce hunger and improve the health of those in need by providing food and other resources at no cost".

Cecile Sogge
Board Chair & President
Cecile has enjoyed a varied 38+ year career as a university professor, a consulting firm owner and a business operations consultant. She looks for ways to integrate process and people in any setting. Her clients included major corporations, privately owned businesses, and non-profits. She has served as a volunteer for various youth sports, education and church organizations. Cecile holds a B.A., an M.A., and a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. No one should wonder where their next meal is coming from or if it will come. Cecile is committed to helping the THAFS continue to live its mission, in a viable and compassionate manner, to serve all who struggle with food insecurity.

Tanner Paulseth
Vice Chair
Tanner Paulseth is a North Shore native and Graduated from William Kelly High School in Silver Bay. He traveled the globe while serving his country in the US Army for 7 years. He and his family are now settled just outside Two Harbors. Tanner became involved with the food shelf through his employer. North Shore Federal Credit Union has an initiative called the “Hunger Hero” program. When he saw how real the hunger problem was in Lake County he decided to get more involved and join our board of directors.

Jennifer Hansen
Treasurer
Jennifer rejoined the THAFS board in 2023. Jennifer is employed by Park State Bank and enjoys working in Two Harbors. She has a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Minnesota and likes numbers, so being part of the Food Shelf as the treasurer fits right in with her interests. Jennifer and her husband enjoy outdoor activities with their two teenage sons and two dogs.

J. Doug Pruitt
Board Member at Large
Mr. Pruitt is the retired Chairman and CEO of Sundt Construction. He currently continues to
serve on the board of directors of Sundt Construction, Inc. located in Tempe Arizona.
He joined the Sundt family of companies in 1966 as a field engineer. In 1992 he assumed the role of President and Chief Operating Officer. In 1998 he became Chairman and CEO of the company until he retired in 2011 and continued as Chairman until 2017. He has served on numerous boards in Arizona and nationally. He has co-authored 3 books and written numerous articles as well as columns for the Arizona Republic and Duluth Tribune.
He is a strong advocate of Career and Technical Education to get more kids graduating from high school with a skill to develop a career or to continue on to higher education.

ArMand Nelson
Board Secretary
ArMand retired after 40 years of service with Holiday Companies, Gander Mountain Stores and lastly BTM Global Consulting. His business career included managing stores for Holiday, managing IT at Gander Mountain and finally Director of Strategy for BTM Global. ArMand moved to the North Shore in 2022 when he retired. He has also served in various volunteering positions through his adult years working with youth, church, school and city. ArMand also served as Council member and Mayor for the City of Champlin MN for 8 years and is currently on the Duluth Township Town Board. He is excited to work with the Two Harbors Area Food Shelf to continue their success in serving area residents.

Mark Fehling
Board Member
Mark brings a lifelong commitment to food systems, health, and community well-being. Raised on a dairy farm, he developed an early understanding of how food is grown, raised, and brought to market. His academic interests further explored the connection between food and physical health, deepening his appreciation for nutrition’s role in overall wellness.
Professionally, Mark has worked in the mental health field, where he witnessed firsthand the profound impact of food insecurity on individuals and communities. These experiences have shaped his perspective on the importance of equitable access to healthy, nourishing food.
Beyond his professional and academic pursuits, Mark finds great joy in cooking and the shared experience of food. He values the way meals bring people together and strengthen connections, reflecting his belief in food as both sustenance and a source of community.

Kay Libby
Board Member
Kay Libby is a Two Harbors native, a retired physician recruiter from Essential Health, and has prior work experience in Marketing. Kay has a degree in Business Administration from UWS.
She has volunteered with youth and church activities, Make a Wish MN, Meals on Wheels, and served on the boards for the TH Curling Club and MPECU. Kay has volunteered with the Two Harbors Area Food Shelf for several years and is proud to work together toward filling the needs in our community.

Jamie Juenemann
Board Member
A lifelong resident of Two Harbors, Jamie comes to the board with a passion for ensuring all have the necessary means to succeed in life beginning with the basics of food, shelter, water and safety.
Jamie graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 1993 with a B.S. in Biology. This led to a long career working for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources as a conservation easement specialist along with time spent at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency laboratory in Duluth, private analytical consulting, and part time work as a residential energy auditor for local utilities and a renewable energy installer. During this same time, Jamie served on the boards of the Lake Superior Bi-national Forum, the Sierra Club National Recreation Issues Committee, Minnesotans for Responsible Recreation and most recently, as chair of the University of Minnesota (U of M) Northeast Regional Sustainable Development Partnership board and vice-chair of the statewide U of M Regional Sustainable Development Partnership board.
Jamie lives with his wife, Penny north of Two Harbors where they raised two daughters and hosted four foreign exchange students. In his free time, Jamie loves to travel, sail, fly fish, spend time with family and help others. He looks forward to putting his unique skill set to work helping the Two Harbors Area Food Shelf meet the growing challenges of food insecurity in our society.
